26 August 2014 - We lay to Rest Horace the Morris an Original Member of Priston Jubilee Morris. Also some tunes......

A sad day befell the Morris of England and Wales today as Horace was buried in Priston Village Church,. Aged 94 and still danced at his 90th birthday, Horace was one of the founding members of Priston Jubilee Morris so it is with much sadness that this week's 'Morris Round Up' is for him.  A rare outing for a live recording of Priston's 'Chuckie Stickie' to the music of 'Room for Ol' Cockold'. 

As Ange Hardy and Cara Dillon were in a Broadsheets list of best Folk CD's of the year so - and as I'd been sent both of them - I thought I'd play another track from said CD's.  All tunes this week come from CD's people have sent me via 'What's in the Post'; as was last week and many more to come I believe.  So here they are:

19 August 2014 - Parts 3 + 4 of the interview with Half Deaf Clatch and some folk tunes as well !

Hi all

its been a while I know but I didn't realise how long, Glastonbury and other festivals as well as holidays have taken there toll on this blog.  But here it is again and I've been doing an interview with an incredible acoustic guitar player playing some authentic original blues by the name of Half Deaf Clatch who is up for three awards at this year's British Blues Awards.  Last week was parts 1+2 and guess what .. yes you are correct here is parts 3 + 4.  Also I've been wading through all your lovely CD's you've been sending me and so the other tracks for this week's show all come from 'What's in the Post?' all be for the next foreseeable weeks as there's a lot of good top quality tunes to get through.  And here are this week's tracks.
